The Kvitka Ukrainian School of Dance is based out of Surrey, B C. Their gravity defying leaps and spins along with their visual splendor of elaborately embroidered and ribboned costumes has dazzled audiences throughout the Pacific North West for over 17 years. The school offers instruction for students beginning at age 3 all the way up to adults. Their detail to traditional dances from the Hutsul, Bukovina, Transcarpathian, Polissia, Volyn and Poltava regions has embraced the beauty of its native Ukraine.

Under the artistic direction of Linda Trafananko, Kvitka strives to provide a professional and encouraging environment in which to further the development of Ukrainian Dance among the youth. The numerous festivals that Kvitka has appeared in have earned them a multitude of awards and trophy's. Wherever Kvitka has appeared they have won not only prizes but also the hearts of the public who watched them perform their colorful, lively and graceful dances. Along with numerous floor shows, Kvitka hosts several concerts each year. It is always a pleasure to see our little ones on stage and to watch their excitement when they see the 'big kids' perform. We are proud of all our dancers and their contribution to the Canadian Ukrainian culture. Be it small family gatherings, banquet settings or large conventions let the bright colors, beauty and grace of Kvitka flood your entertainment floor.
